The "Centennial Nankai Chemistry Lecture Hall and Nanosupramolecular Chemistry Cross-disciplines Forum", sponsored by the school of chemistry and State Key Laboratory of Element-organic Chemistry(SKLEOC), was held in the lecture hall on the Shixian Building, Nankai University from May 7-9, 2021. The forum was attended by academician Zhenhe Tong of Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician Lihe Zhang of the Department of Medicine of Peking University, academician Yuliang Yang of Fudan University, academician Benzhong Tang of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, academician Fang Weihai of Beijing Normal University, academician Zhao Jincai of the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, prof. Yingjin Yuan of Tianjin University, prof. Meixiang Wang of Tsinghua University, prof. Zhanting Li of Fudan University, prof. Feihe Huang of Zhejiang University, prof. Junbiao Chang of Henan Normal University, prof. Minghua Liu of Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, researcher Chuanfeng Chen, Dexian Wang, etc. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Yu Liu. Academician Jun Chen, vice President of Nankai University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

After the opening ceremony, researchers from various research institutions made relevant reports on the structure and functional application of organic supramolecules. Academician Yuliang Yang introduced the work on the statistical thermodynamic theory of molecular assembly between cyclic molecules and flexible polymer chains, academician Benzhong Tang introduced the research work on supramolecular cluster luminescence, Prof. Yong Chen introduced the research work on the construction and function of the polycharged cyclodextrin assembly. Researcher Minghua Liu showed the latest research progress of supramolecular chirality, focusing on the design and circularly polarized luminescence of supramolecular hydrogels. Researcher Chuanfeng Chen introduced the synthesis and performance research of a new type of macrocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon molecule with very special characteristics. Prof. Feihe Huang showed the synthesis, modification and application of the column aromatic hydrocarbon nanogram, Prof. Zhanting Li introduced the work of drug antagonism and isolation supramolecular strategy exploration, and Prof. Jianxin Song introduced the work related to the synthesis of new porphyrins.

The scholars and students in the field of supramolecular chemistry had a warm discussion on the hot spots in relevant research fields. The supramolecular series forums were held for four times between 2016-2019. This forum coincided with the centennial of the discipline of Chemistry of Nankai University. The successful convening of the conference plays an important role in promoting the interdisciplinary development of supramolecular chemistry and nanoscience and technology.
