On December 21st, 2016, the series
of academic activities for commemorating the 120th anniversary of
the birth of Shixian Yang greeted Prof. Yunqi Liu of the Institute of Chemistry
CAS at the invitation of dean of the college of chemistry Prof. Jun Chen, Mr.
Liu made a frontier academic report titled “molecular materials and devices”.
The lecture was hosted by Prof. Jun Chen.
In his report, Prof. Yunqi Liu summed up the overall guidelines for the design
of high-mobility materials. He concluded that materials should serve as the
foundation, devices should serve as methods, functions should serve as the
orientation, the relationship between structure and property should serve as
the core and applications as the ultimate goal.
Prof. Liu introduced the high-mobility D-A copolymer that is designed
and synthesized by his research team under this guideline and the controllable
preparation of high-quality graphene through the CVD method. In the
introduction on his team’s research on devices, Prof. Liu discussed his group’s
studies on device interface engineering and the solution processing technique. Prof.
Liu and co-workers developed multifunctional field effect transistors and their
research expanded the application of field effect transistors.
