On November 14, 2025, the "2025 Element Elite Forum", hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-organic Chemistry, was successfully held in the Academic Lecture Hall on the second floor of Shixian Building. With the theme of "Asymmetric Catalysis and Green Transformation", the forum brought together outstanding scholars in the field to share the latest progress in organic synthetic chemistry, presenting a high-level academic feast for teachers and students attending. Nearly 100 researchers and graduate students actively participated, and the on-site exchange atmosphere was enthusiastic.

Distinguished scholars from five renowned domestic universities were invited to deliver special reports at this forum. Professor Yifeng Chen from East China University of Science and Technology delivered a presentation on "Asymmetric Radical Addition"; Professor Bijie Li from Tsinghua University focused on "Regio- and Stereoselective Hydrofunctionalization of Polysubstituted Alkenes"; Professor Wenbo Liu from Wuhan University systematically elaborated on the relevant research progress under the title "Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis of All-Carbon Quaternary Centers—From [Quaternary Carbon] to [Quaternary Carbon]"; Professor Yanbiao Kang from the University of Science and Technology of China introduced the cutting-edge exploration of "Photochemical Degradation of Polytetrafluoroethylene"; Professor Senmiao Xu from East China Normal University shared innovative application achievements on "Unlocking Chiral Boryl Ligands in Asymmetric C-H Activation".

In the interactive session after each report, teachers and students attending actively raised questions around key issues such as catalyst design, reaction mechanism, and condition optimization, which were carefully answered by experts and scholars one by one. The on-site academic atmosphere was strong, and sparks of ideas kept bursting forth. The forum not only promoted in-depth exchange of academic viewpoints but also built an important platform for inter-institutional cooperation and the training of young talents.

This forum focused on presenting the latest research progress in fields such as asymmetric catalysis, inert bond activation, and green degradation, effectively promoting the sharing of achievements and cohesion of consensus in the field, and injecting new momentum into relevant scientific research innovation. In the future, the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-organic Chemistry will continue to build a high-level academic exchange platform, promote the interdisciplinary integration of synthetic chemistry and materials, environment, medicine and other disciplines, and provide solid support for China's scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
