On October 14th, 2016, Prof. Caili Dai of China University of
Petroleum (East China) paid a visit to the State Key Laboratory of
Elemento-organic Chemistry (SKLEOC). She gave an academic report titled “philosophical
considerations on oilfield chemistry and enhanced oil recovery (EOR)”. The
lecture was hosted by Prof. Shoufei Zhu.
Prof. Dai gave an overall introduction of the oil chemistry
and her research group’s work in creation of series new technologies of high
water-cut oilfield dominant paths for adjustment and control of enhanced oil
recovery, and R & D of low-damage, low-cost, and high-performance
fracturing fluid system, etc., as well as put forward some philosophical reflections
to this field and answered the teachers and students’ questions. After the
report, Professor Dai further exchanged ideas with some teachers, and discussed
the likelihood of cooperative research.
Prof. Caili Dai is a Level-II
professor of China University of Petroleum (East China). She is also director
of Shandong Province Key Laboratory for Oilfield Chemistry, laureate of the
National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Yangtze River Scholar
Chair Professor, leading talent in technological innovation of the National
High-level Personnel of Special Support Program, successful candidate of the
National Talents Engineering, leading talent in technological innovation by
young and middle-aged people of the Ministry of Science and Technology
Innovative Talents Promotion Plan, laureate of the China Youth Science and
Technology Award, laureate of the “Youth Prize” of Guanghua Engineering Science
and Technology Award, and candidate of Shandong Province Taishan Scholar
Promotion Plan.
Prof. Dai has
been long engaged in oilfield chemistry. She has developed new technologies of high
water-cut oilfield’s dominant paths for adjustment and control of EOR, as well
as developed low-damage, low-cost, and high-performance fracturing fluid system.
These achievements have been applied in 18 domestic major oilfields and three
overseas oilfields.
