On the afternoon of January 8, 2026, the award ceremony for the Social Donation Scholarships of the Institute of Elemento-Organic Chemistry for the 2024–2025 academic year was solemnly held at the Academic Lecture Hall on the second floor of the Shixian Building. The ceremony brought together guests from both the university and industry, including Jinping Cao, Director of the President’s Office of Wanxiang Technology Co., Ltd.; Qihao Feng, Representative of the Marketing Department of TCI (Shanghai) Chemical Industry Development Co., Ltd.; Xianzhong Yan, Application Specialist of Wuhan Zhongke Oxford Spectroscopy Technology Co., Ltd.; as well as university representatives including Limin Huo, Deputy Director of the Department of Student Affairs of Nankai University; Shoumin Zhang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Chemistry; Jing Li, Director of the Pesticide Engineering Center; and Zhenhua Liu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the College of Chemistry. Together, they witnessed the students’ moments of honor and engaged in discussions on a new chapter of university–enterprise collaboration in talent cultivation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chunming Cui, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry, Director of the Institute of Elemento-Organic Chemistry, and Chair of the Scholarship Management Committee, delivered an opening address. He first extended a warm welcome to the corporate guests and university leaders in attendance, expressed sincere respect for the generous donations from Wanxiang Technology Co., Ltd., Wuhan Zhongke Oxford Spectroscopy Technology Co., Ltd., and TCI (Shanghai) Chemical Industry Development Co., Ltd., and offered warm congratulations to all award-winning students. Chunming Cui stated that the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry has always placed talent cultivation at its core, remaining deeply engaged in research and education in the field of organic chemistry, and that university–enterprise cooperation is an important driving force for promoting high-quality development in talent training.

During the donation ceremony, representatives of the donors of the Wanxiang Scholarship, the Zhongke Oxford Scholarship, and the TCI Innovation Scholarship delivered speeches in turn and completed the donation procedures. All parties expressed their continued support for the research and educational work of the Institute of Elemento-Organic Chemistry at Nankai University and their expectations that the award recipients would achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.

Subsequently, Chuanzheng Zhou, Chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee, gave a detailed introduction to the scholarship selection process for the 2024–2025 academic year and announced the list of award recipients. At this ceremony, four major categories of scholarships were presented, namely the Chen Ruyu Scholarship, the Li Zhengming Scholarship, the Wanxiang Outstanding Achievement Award, and the TCI Innovation Scholarship. Leaders in attendance presented certificates of honor to the award-winning students. In their remarks, student representatives expressed sincere gratitude to the university, the donors, and their teachers, and stated that they would take this recognition as motivation to continue striving in their scientific research pursuits and live up to expectations.

Finally, Limin Huo, Deputy Director of the Department of Student Affairs of Nankai University, delivered remarks to the award-winning students, urging them to cherish the honor and remain grateful, to carry forward the patriotism and scholarly spirit of senior scientists such as Academicians Chen Ruyu and Li Zhengming, to pursue excellence on the path of scientific research with solid knowledge and the courage to innovate, and to strive to grow into leading talents in the field of chemistry. At the same time, she expressed the hope of further deepening industry–university–research cooperation with corporate partners, expanding more diverse forms of collaboration in scientific research, achievement transformation, and joint talent cultivation, and working together to contribute to the development of China’s chemical sciences.
The successful holding of this award ceremony not only affirmed the research capabilities and overall qualities of outstanding students in the field of elemento-organic chemistry, but also served as a vivid example of in-depth university–enterprise cooperation and collaborative talent cultivation. The generous donations and strong support from multiple companies have injected strong momentum into talent training at the university. Looking ahead, the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry at Nankai University will continue to deepen university–enterprise cooperation, build high-quality platforms for talent development, and encourage more students to strive for excellence in the field of chemistry and achieve new accomplishments.
