Successful Conclusion of the Award Ceremony for the “Elemento-Organic Chemistry Outstanding Teacher Award Fund” and the “Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award”

On the afternoon of December 31, 2025, the award ceremony for the “Elemento-Organic Chemistry Outstanding Teacher Award Fund” and the “Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award” was solemnly held at the Academic Lecture Hall on the second floor of the Shixian Building, Balitai Campus, Nankai University. Both awards were donated by Mr. Xize Zhang, an alumnus of the Department of Chemistry, Class of 1991, Nankai University, in support of the development of education at Nankai University. The total donation amounted to RMB 1 million, which is used to recognize teachers who have made outstanding contributions in teaching, scientific research, and related areas. Among them, the Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry was established for the first time this year. The ceremony was attended by Qilin Zhou, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Chunming Cui, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry; Chuanzheng Zhou, Secretary of the Party General Branch and Deputy Director of the Institute of Elemento-Organic Chemistry; as well as representatives of faculty members and students.

On behalf of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry, Chunming Cui expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Xize Zhang, an outstanding alumnus of the Class of 1991 and the donor of the Outstanding Teacher Award Fund and the Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award, and extended warm congratulations to the award recipients. Chuanzheng Zhou gave a detailed introduction to the selection procedures and results of the two awards for 2025. Subsequently, Qilin Zhou presented the 2025 Outstanding Teacher Award Fund to Wang Qingmin, and Chunming Cui presented the 2025 Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award to Youai Qiu and Qian Peng.

Finally, Qingmin Wang delivered an award lecture, in which he reviewed his journey of dedication to front-line education and scientific research and shared his experiences and reflections on teaching. He stated that he would remain committed to his original aspiration in education, keep firmly in mind the mission of educating students, and devote himself to teaching and research with even greater enthusiasm, contributing more to disciplinary development and talent cultivation.
