On April 25, six representatives from the science and technology development division and anti-corrosion technology research office of the Institute of Seawater Desalination and Multipurpose Utilization, Ministry of Natural Resources (Tianjin), (hereinafter abbreviated to ISDMU) visited the State Key Laboratory of Elemental Organic Chemistry (hereinafter abbreviated to Key Laboratory) and conducted technical exchanges. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as university-enterprise cooperation, joint student training, and resource sharing, with the aim of promoting the deep integration of industry-academia-research.

At the meeting, Chunming Cui, director of the Key Laboratory, welcomed the guests from the ISDMU and made relevant introduction about the Key Laboratory. Then, the relevant person in charge of the ISDMU introduced the overall development of the ISDMU and technological achievements.

In the technical exchange session, the technicians of anti-corrosion technology research office of ISDMU introduced in detail the basic research and application technology development in the fields of anticorrosion and functional coating research and development, and efficient recovery of lithium resources. Then, the researchers from the Key Laboratory showed the relevant cutting-edge achievements in the organic molecular synthesis, energy conversion materials, organic fluorine chemistry, organosilicon and lithium battery materials recovery.

After the exchanges, both sides agreed that the basic research of the Key Laboratory is highly related to the business and engineering applications of the anti-corrosion technology research of ISDMU and reached a consensus on the follow-up cooperation path. Both sides have the demand and willingness to further strengthen exchanges and co-operation, to promote the transformation of technology and talent training through the deep integration of industry-academia-research, and to form a long-term co-operation mechanism.
