The 13th Forum of State Key Laboratory of Elemento-organic Chemistry（SKLEOC）Young Investigators was held in Tianjin from February 8 to 10, 2023. The meeting was presided over by deputy director Pingping Tang and director Chunming Cui delivered an opening speech.

During the forum, the participants reported their main research work in 2022 and elaborated on their research plans for 2023. In the discussion session, the participants actively spoke and fully commented on the scientific significance and innovation of the reported work, and put forward their constructive suggestions on the selected topics and research ideas. The meeting also served as a gatekeeper for the researchers to declare the situation of National Foundation for 2023, and those present actively advised and provided modifications for the filers to enhance the competitiveness of the lab's foundation declaration.

After the work report, Director Chunming Cui briefly reported the progress related to the reorganization of the Key-Laboratory from several aspects including research directions, physical construction and team building.

At the end of the meeting, Academician Qilin Zhou encouraged everyone to face the problems encountered in scientific research with optimism, explore actively and never give up.

This forum further deepened the communication among researchers which played a significant role in promoting the integration of research resources, cultivating outstanding talents and improving the overall research level and core competitiveness of the laboratory.
