On December 26, 2024, the award ceremony of "Excellent Teacher Award of Elemental Organic Chemistry" was held in the Shixian Building. The award is donated by Mr. Xize Zhang, a 1991 grade chemistry alumnus of Nankai University, to support the education development of Nankai University, with a total of 1 million yuan, which is used to reward teachers who have made outstanding contributions in teaching, scientific research and other aspects. Jianjun Lu, deputy general secretary of the education foundation of Nankai University, Chunming Cui, director of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-organic Chemistry, Pingping Tang, Jianhua Xie and Mengchun Ye, deputy directors of the Institute of Elemento-organic Chemistry, Chuanzheng Zhou, deputy director of the Institute of Elemento-organic Chemistry and secretary of the general Party branch, and some representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony.

Cunming Cui expressed his heartfelt thanks to Xize Zhang for his kindful donation, and congratulated teachers who winned the awards. Chuanzheng Zhou introduced the selection process of the 2024 awards, and Jianjun Lu presented the award to You Huang, the winner of the award of 2024 outstanding teacher.

At last, You Huang gave an award report. He reviewed his process in education and scientific research, shared his experience in education and teaching, and said that he would continue to carry forward the spirit of "learning to be a teacher and behaving as a world model", keep in mind the original intention and mission of education, and contribute to scientific research.
