Recently, the American Chemical Society (ACS) announced that Prof. Shoufei Zhu, Director of the Frontiers Science Center for New Organic Matter of Nankai University and Professor at the College of Chemistry, has been invited to join the editorial team of ACS Catalysis, a flagship catalysis journal published by ACS, as an Associate Editor.

Prof. Shoufei Zhu, an Leading Talent of the Ministry of Education, is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and serves as the principal investigator of National Key Research and Development Program. He has long been engaged in research on catalytic organic synthesis chemistry, pioneered the concept of "chiral proton shuttle", discovered the catalytic carbene insertion into boron-hydrogen bonds, and established a new direction in "spin-responsive catalysis". To date, he has published over 150 research papers and holds 10 authorized patents. His notable accolades include the First Prize of the National Natural Science Award (the third contributor), the Xplorer Prize, the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award (the first contributor), the inaugural Outstanding Young Graduate Mentor Award, and the CCS-BASF Young Investigator Innovation Award.

ACS Catalysis is dedicated to publishing original research in heterogeneous catalysis, molecular catalysis, and biocatalysis, covering fields such as life sciences, organometallics & synthesis, photochemistry & electrochemistry, drug discovery & synthesis, materials science, environmental protection, polymer discovery & synthesis, and energy & fuels. The journal holds significant influence and high academic value in the catalysis field.
