The 2021 Annual Conference of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-organic Chemistry was held successfully

On January 8, 2022, the 2021 Annual Conference of the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-organic Chemistry (Nankai University) (hereinafter referred to as "the Key Laboratory") was successfully held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of Building A, Tian-Nan Union Building, Nankai University both online and offline.

Li Jing, Vice President of Nankai University, academician Qilin Zhou, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee, academician Xianhe Bu, a regular researcher of the Key Laboratory, and academic committee members Prof. Zhen Xi, Prof. Xiaoqing Zhu and Prof. Chunming Cui attended this meeting offline. Academic committee and guest researchers of the Key Laboratory attended this meeting online. More than 200 representatives from the faculty and students of the Key Laboratory attended the meeting. The opening ceremony of the meeting was hosted by Prof. Pingping Tang, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory.



Prof. Chunming Cui, Director of the Key Laboratory, delivered a speech on behalf of the Key Laboratory at the opening ceremony. He welcomed the experts and guests and expressed his gratitude to the experts who have been caring and supporting the State Key Laboratory for a long time. He reviewed the achievements of the Key Laboratory in the past year, and also pointed out the challenges faced by the Key Laboratory in future development. He congratulated Prof. Xianhe Bu on his election as an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.



After that, Prof. John F. Hartwig from UC Berkeley, Prof. Zhaomin Hou from RIKEN, Prof. Guangfu Yang from Central China Normal University, and Prof. Jinbo Hu from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences gave invited presentations, and Prof. Chi Zhang and Prof. Weiwei Zi, regular researchers of the Key Laboratory, gave academic presentations. In the postgraduate forum session, eight students from the Key Laboratory shared their experiences in the research process. The attendees had a lively discussion on the related report topics and the academic atmosphere was strong.



There was a poster area, and 10 posters were selected the excellent posters in 41 posters from the key laboratory. The winners were awarded by Prof. Mengchun Ye of the Key Laboratory.
