The 8th International Conference on Hypervalent Iodine Chemistry (ICHIC 8), organized by the State Key Laboratory of Elemento-Organic Chemistry at Nankai University, will be held from June 25-28, 2025, in Tianjin, China. The conference will be chaired by Prof. Gong Chen and Prof. Chi Zhang from Nankai University. The theme of the conference is: turning stone into gold with “iodane”, and it will cover the latest advances in hypervalent iodine chemistry, including topics such as synthesis of new hypervalent iodine reagents, applications of reagents in organic synthesis and material science, theoretical and spectroscopic studies, and industrial applications. We warmly welcome all colleagues and students to attend the conference, discuss in detail and jointly promote the vigorous development of hypervalent iodine chemistry.
More than 30 internationally renowned experts in the field of hypervalent iodine chemistry will speak at the conference, including Prof. Viktor Zhdankin from University of Minnesota, Prof. Thomas Wirth from Cardiff University, Prof. Jérôme Waser from EPFL Lausanne, Prof. Tanja Gulder from Leipzig University, Prof. Stéphane Quideau from University of Bordeaux, Prof. Kazuaki Ishihara from Nagoya University, Prof. Yiyun Chen from SIOC, and Prof. Chao Chen from Tsinghua University. Oral presentations and poster displays will also be organized on the basis of submitted abstracts.
